EA had a big presence at Microsoft's event today and announced a fair few details that may upset a few million fans, but right here right now I am going to be talking about the new graphics engine that EA have developed for their next-gen EA Sports games. Named EA Sports Ignite.

Now everyone knew that we were going to be shown an Exclusive video of Call of Duty:Ghosts at the Microsoft event but what are everyone's reactions? On my first attempt at watching it live, I almost threw my mouse across the room because my feed kept stopping to buffer and then stopping completely etc... but after a second watch I have a fuller opinion of the next-gen Call of Duty.

Mass Effect’s Commander Shepard, Garrus and the rest of the Normandy crew will be getting the LittleBigPlanet make over this week, with Media Molecule confirming BioWare’s best will be immortalized in SackBoy form…awesome news, I'm a huge LBP and Mass Effect fan, so this is win win for me..
Due out this Wednesday (tomorrow), the Mass Effect LBP costume pack will retail for a mere £4.79, and includes all the cool costumes and extras below.

With Microsoft's big next-gen reveal tomorrow at 6pm - stream through live your Xbox 360 console or directly through the Xbox site - what are your predictions and hopes and what are you most excited about?

Official Twitter and Facebook accounts of DICE, the brains behind the Battlefield franchise, have said that "Big announcements are coming soon! Retweet to alert your friends #BF4" and "Big announcements are coming soon - Don't miss a single thing!" on Facebook. What news could it be? Official next-gen Battlefield 4? Battlefield footage at Microsoft's event?

Activision and Treyarch are playing nice this weekend and allowing everyone to play the latest Revolution DLC for absolutely free this coming weekend, in fact it is free to play from Friday 24th May until Tuesday 28th May but no word of double XP (bit much to ask?). The new micro-transactions will come in the form of four new gun-skins, themed reticules and calling cards. They will work on a vote system, where CoD fans can vote for their favourite and the two with the highest votes will me made available to buy.

A few lucky Aussies were fortunate enough to be shown the Call of Duty: Ghosts trailer to be released later today, at the Xbox reveal event, in a private early viewing and their reactions recorded. In all honesty I thought there reactions were quite tame and although did seem impressed, they didn't seem to have that much enthusiasm. If I had the chance to see this footage early (especially with a couple of my friends) I would probably be bouncing off the walls and asking/telling them I wanted to watch it again and again.

With the next-gen Xbox reveal just over 24 hours away I thought it would be good to have a refresh of our fond gaming console through the ages, from the Original Xbox to it's numerous incarnations bringing it up to date to the current Xbox 360 Slim.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist depicting Sam Fisher and his +1 (Isaac Briggs) in the game's 2 player co-op mode. The co-op mode in the previous Splinter Cell: Conviction was just as fun and immersing as the single player campaign and the latest installment looks to build on it's predecessor's strong points and gives us a named co-op character.
