Big news with the Xbox reveal tomorrow, but for me there is only one console I'm looking forward to getting to grips with and that's the PlayStation 4, don't get me wrong the Xbox no doubt is going to be huge....but there is only one square black box for me and that's exactly what it looks like what we may get with the PlayStation 4. Sony have today released a teaser trailer "PlayStation 4 See if First at E3". Call me crazy but coming out of E3 I think we may know exactly what our hard earned cash will be going towards when we pick up our consoles in the expected launch window of holiday 2013.

Good news football fans, EA has confirmed that they are not only attending the next-gen Xbox reveal tomorrow, but they will also will be showing off a next-gen version of Fifa. We can now see why Fifa have been holding back on their Fifa 14 announcement, which this is almost certainly to be, as an event as important as the #Xboxreveal tomorrow gives Fifa the biggest audience possible to deliver the good news to.
We can ponder on what new features that are going to introduce but all will be revealed tomorrow so make sure you tune into a live stream so you don’t miss any of the sideline action! What do you want to see EA keep and change from Fifa 13?

I'd like to take a few moments to welcome our newest member into Digital Gathering, for the past month he has been settling into DG and you may have already read some of his work on the site, I refer to of course our new Editor-in-Chief Kong-Wai Wong.

Good news for Battlefield players, DICE has announced that the Double XP will start on 23rd May and rung through to 27th May. This announcement follows issues that DICE has recently had with their servers due to a cyber-attack that initially delayed the Double XP event.

A Paintball arena in East Dundee, Illinois called ‘Paintball Explosion” has recreated the Nuketown multiplayer map from Black Ops 2 and it is pretty damn impressive and can’t believe this hasn’t been done before already. Imagine the amount of Call of Duty fans that would want to re-live their online multiplayer moments in real-life paintball action, especially if Activision got involved in the project.

A recent listing on online retailer Amazon’s site has announced that Deathstroke will be a playable character in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins. I couldn’t help but notice that he is also holding Batman’s head piece in the image, but is that part of his DLC, the storyline or just to make him look more badass.

There are always numerous rumours and actual possibilities of big title games being crossed over in to the film industry. Assassins Creed is one of the latest games to apparently be given the Hollywood treatment, with Michael Fassbender rumoured to play Desmond Miles.

Just two days ahead of the big Microsoft reveal with promised Exclusive footage/material of Call of Duty: Ghosts, the official Call of Duty website has been updated with some obscure coded information. The above is a screenshot from the site itself. What do you make of it, is it random or small parts of a bigger picture?

Nintendo have most recently been under fire from EA Software Engineer ‘Bob Summerwill’ when he had some harsh words to say about struggling console Wii U and it’s creator Nintendo. Thankfully Ubisoft are remaining supportive of the Wii U and “will help in continuing to attract gamers to the Wii u system”, finally some good news to spread for Nintendo.

The smartphone industry is more competitive than it ever has been, with companies not only releasing model after model, they are releasing them frequently. Essentially once you buy a phone or take out a new contract, a newer improved model will be released not even a year later and you’re tied in to a minimum 2-year contract in most situations.
