
Nintendo have most recently been under fire from EA Software Engineer ‘Bob Summerwill’ when he had some harsh words to say about struggling console Wii U and it’s creator Nintendo. Thankfully Ubisoft are remaining supportive of the Wii U and “will help in continuing to attract gamers to the Wii u system”, finally some good news to spread for Nintendo.

The smartphone industry is more competitive than it ever has been, with companies not only releasing model after model, they are releasing them frequently. Essentially once you buy a phone or take out a new contract, a newer improved model will be released not even a year later and you’re tied in to a minimum 2-year contract in most situations.

The Last of US will give PS3 gamers a peek at PS4's new accessibility features. Gradually becoming standard practise these days, digital downloads of retail released games are available on the same day. You will only have to wait until 50% of the game is downloaded in order to start gaming.

With the hopeful release of a next-gen Xbox this year, Microsoft will want a smooth transition for current Xbox 360 users in to the next-gen. Therefore a ‘rumoured’ update for the dashboard will be made available for the public to beta test in late June – early July. According to TheVerge, “We’re told that the user interface will be refreshed alongside smaller Live tiles – similar to what Microsoft is preparing for Windows 8.1.”

We have had released a fair few articles recently regarding the Wii U and Ea and the plans or lack of plans in their relationship. Most recently, a Senior Software Engineer and Architect Bob Summerwill has expressed his views of the Wii U hardware. Bob tweeted "The Wii U is crap. Less powereful than an Xbox 360"

An update on our previous MGS: Legacy article - Some more good news for Metal Gear Solid fans, the Legacy Collection has confirmed to be released in the US on 9th July for $49.99 (according to official Playstation blog) and in Japan on 11th July for 7,890 Yen or 7,182 Yen through Konami Style.

Following our previous article regarding EA and Nintendo’s relationship, it seems that it is going to get worse before it gets better. As of yesterday, EA announced that the next instalment of the ever popular FIFA will not be coming to the Wii U.

Gears of War: Judgement DLC seems to flying about the place recently, with free multiplayer map ‘Deadnought’ being released just two days ago. The next instalment of DLC is called ‘Lost Relics’ it will include four new multiplayer maps, a single objective gametype, new armour and new weapon skins and will be available in June.

I’ve been following this film for a little while now and the earlier trailers released instantly caught my attention – massive mechs Vs massive aliens, need I say more – ‘Go Big or Go Extinct’. From director Guilermo del Torro this film is looking to be my ‘film of the year’ within it’s genre.
