Forza Horizon launching, part 4 behind the scenes

Launching this Friday, “Forza Horizon”, the critically acclaimed new game in the fan-favorite Forza Motorsport franchise, will soon let players experience the thrill of the open road as part of the Horizon Festival – a massive cars and music festival set in the heart of Colorado. To celebrate, Turn 10 has released the latest installment of the “Forza Horizon – Behind the Scenes” video series recently.

Featuring an in-depth look at the Horizon Festival, this video offers a peek behind the curtain to see how “Forza Horizon’s” epic soundtrack amplifies the action-packed driving action in the game. In this episode, fans will hear from BBC Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank, who hand-picked all the artists and songs to create Horizon’s critically acclaimed soundtrack. In addition to curating the soundtrack, Rob also contributed his insight and expertise as founder of the UK’s annual Bestival music festival into making “Forza Horizon’s” fictional Horizon Festival feel as authentic and exciting as possible.

“Forza Horizon -- Behind the Scenes Part 4” also focuses on the game’s extensive competitive features. From a single-player mode that challenges players to become the top driver of the Horizon Festival, to an extensive suite of online and community features that allows players to compete against their friends, as well as flex their creative muscles, Forza Horizon is the ultimate expression of car passion.

“Play and Win” Incentives: Players who purchase and play “Forza Horizon” during the first week of release will receive a free gift car – the 2010 Saleen S5S Raptor; a unicorn car typically only available from the “Forza Horizon” community team. Those who download and play the currently available Xbox LIVE demo for Forza Horizon and then play the full game will receive a 2013 SRT Viper GTS, complete with a custom livery.

Forza Horizon Rally Expansion: Look for the “Forza Horizon Rally Expansion Pack”, which will be released 18th December on Xbox LIVE for 1,600 MS Points. Forza Horizon Season Pass owners will receive the Rally Expansion Pack automatically for no additional cost.

Forza Horizon Season Pass: The “Forza Horizon Season Pass” gives fans automatic access to the best add-on content for “Forza Horizon”, including six months of DLC content, the “Forza Horizon Rally Expansion Pack”, and more, all at a discounted price.

Heading towards launch at full throttle, Forza Horizon will come to life through several exciting events this week, including #EscapeTheGrid, a four day road trip kicking off today with 10 supercars competing in a series of challenges en route from France to the UK. Visit Xbox.com and @XboxUK to win prizes, submit questions to the Playground Games development team, as well as interact with and follow the cars by using the #EscapeTheGrid hashtag on Twitter. For those who missed out on winning tickets to the Forza Horizon Music Festival, featuring performances by DJ Fresh, Ms. Dynamite and Skepta, all of the ear-thumping action will be hosted exclusively on Last.fm at http://originals.last.fm and via the Last.fm app on Xbox LIVE starting this Friday. Finally, car fans can also get behind of wheel of Forza Horizon at Top Gear Live, taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from 25th- 28th October. To get involved in all the exciting action, win prizes and more, visit www.xbox.com/forzahorizon to learn more.

“Forza Horizon” will be available in the UK on 26th October in a Limited Collector’s Edition (£59.99 ERP) and a Standard Edition (£49.99 ERP), both available for pre-order now. The game is rated PEGI 12.
