
Rockstar have been a bit shy with GTA V news recently and have also decided not to make an appearance at E3 or most recently the Microsoft Event. But what they have recently announced more than makes up for it, Rockstar have finally announced the Special and Collector's edition of the game.

Crytek has officially announced that their CryEngine 3 technology is equipped to start creating software for the system now, sounds promising as Crytek are responsible for some insanely impressive looking games. Crytek also recently became an official provider of middleware and tools for the new Xbox One and will support the platform was well as equipping CryEngine 3 licenses with the advanced toolset required to achieve their own games for the system.

Last week at the Stifel Nicolaus 2013 Internet, Media and Communications Conference, EA spoke out about developing games for the Wii U, stating that "We are building titles for the Nintendo consoles" but does that mean the Wii U or 3DS? Most likely the Wii U, but which games are they?

Activision and Treyarch are playing nice this weekend and allowing everyone to play the latest Revolution DLC for absolutely free this coming weekend, in fact it is free to play from Friday 24th May until Tuesday 28th May but no word of double XP (bit much to ask?). The new micro-transactions will come in the form of four new gun-skins, themed reticules and calling cards. They will work on a vote system, where CoD fans can vote for their favourite and the two with the highest votes will me made available to buy.

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming Splinter Cell: Blacklist depicting Sam Fisher and his +1 (Isaac Briggs) in the game's 2 player co-op mode. The co-op mode in the previous Splinter Cell: Conviction was just as fun and immersing as the single player campaign and the latest installment looks to build on it's predecessor's strong points and gives us a named co-op character.

Good news for Battlefield players, DICE has announced that the Double XP will start on 23rd May and rung through to 27th May. This announcement follows issues that DICE has recently had with their servers due to a cyber-attack that initially delayed the Double XP event.

A Paintball arena in East Dundee, Illinois called ‘Paintball Explosion” has recreated the Nuketown multiplayer map from Black Ops 2 and it is pretty damn impressive and can’t believe this hasn’t been done before already. Imagine the amount of Call of Duty fans that would want to re-live their online multiplayer moments in real-life paintball action, especially if Activision got involved in the project.
